A Tribute to the King and Lovely Spaces

Yesterday would have been Elvis' 75th birthday.  That's almost hard to believe.

Last August, I had the pleasure of visiting Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee.  It was amazing.  His home is so unique and beautiful.  Some have referred to the interior of Graceland as "garish".  I found the rooms to be larger than life, much like Elvis.

Below are a few images from my trip to Graceland.  To learn more about Graceland, check out Wikipedia, Elvis Information Network, ElvisPresley.com.au, and Elvis.com.

Remembering Graceland reminded me that I really love interior spaces.  I just don't get to photograph them as much as I would like.  So, here are a few shots that I have taken.

Hilton Garden Inn - Terre Haute, Indiana

Kil@wat - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Sig Ep House (caught fire) - Madison, Wisconsin

Marriott Union Station - St. Louis, Missouri

I hope that I get the opportunity to photograph more interiors in 2010.  I'm sure that none of them will be as exciting or as memorable as the rooms in Graceland.
