Use Your Sunglasses as a Polarizing Filter

Many photographers use lens filters on their cameras.  Filters allow for more creative control over images.  I always have a UV filter on my cameras.  Not only is this filter used to reduce UV light, but it also protects the lens from scratches.  A UV filter can even reduce some fringing that is common with digital cameras

I also have fluorescent and polarizing filters.  I like the polarizing filter, because it darkens and saturates images.  I don't always carry this filter with me, though.  There's a trick to that:  use sunglasses!

Just hold one of the lenses of your sunglasses over the lens of your camera.  Simple as that.

Try it for yourself!
