When driving down 56th Street in Indianapolis, I always check out the giant bear statue that overlooks the Eagle Creek Reservoir. One evening, I finally pulled off to get some photos of it. I'm not really sure why I'm so enamored with the bear. Maybe it's my obsession with all things giant and unusual.
I've done numerous Google searches about this statue. I've never been able to find any information on it... until just this week. When Dick's Sporting Goods purchased Galyan's, they donated the statue to the City of Indianapolis. I had no clue.
I also have the urge to climb it. Don't tell anyone.
