Simple Embroidery Tip

Embroidery can be a bit of a struggle.  If you're not strong at sewing, it can be extra tough.  I've been sewing for a few years, and I still haven't mastered detailed embroidery.

To help me out, I'll write or draw out what I want to embroider on paper and position the paper on top of the piece I'm creating.  I simply stitch through the paper.  Once you've finished, carefully remove the paper.  If you use a back stitch or another type of interlocking stitch, you must take extra caution when pulling the paper away.  You could pull out your work.  Trust me.  I've done it... more than once.

Maybe I should write a book entitled, Things Mandy Discovered While Super Gluing/Sewing Herself To Her Project.
