Kevin and I drove my Jeep to Richmond, Indiana (an hour and a half from Indianapolis) on one of the absolute windiest days just to see a double decker bus.
First, driving a Jeep in the wind (or on a wet road or on the highway) is a bad idea. Kevin said that driving my Jeep on a windy day was "like trying to drive a sheet". That might actually be the most accurate statement ever uttered. Second, the double decker bus was inside of a pizza place. Pizza is always worth the drive.
The location of the bus is inside Clara's Pizza King. So, what's the story behind it? No clue. You can reserve the lower level of the bus for your table, though. Strangely, we did see another double decker bus just a few minutes before we got to the restaurant.
Clara's was great. Customers seat themselves and place orders through the phone on their table. The interior is decorated with vintage artifacts and stained glass. I loved that the lights had orange roses. I'd love to go back one day.
What's the weirdest thing you've seen inside of a restaurant?
