"Take a book, return a book."
The Little Free Library is a colorful box full of books. They come in all shapes and sizes. This one is next to a playground inside Fowler Park. Anyone can grab a book to read and leave one in its place. I didn't take any books, but I left a collection of Elizabeth Barrett Browning poems.
The first free library was made in 2009 by Todd Bol who built one in his mother's honor. Friends loved the idea so much that Bol built more and gave them away. This eventually grew into the Little Free Library. Now, 15,000+ little libraries stretch across the world.
