Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Protein Balls


After reading the nutrition information on a "healthy" cookie dough bar that was in our house, I was horrified.  The ingredients list took up the entire backside of the package, plus it had a lot of sugar.  Right then, I knew that I needed to find a way to make my own.

I came across this recipe.  It only had a few ingredients and 5 grams of protein in each ball.  I ended up tweaking the recipe a little (mostly because I can't stand syrup).  Keep the maple syrup if you're looking for a vegan option.

2 scoops whey protein powder
1 cup almond meal
1/2 cup almond butter
1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup chocolate chips
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

These are a big hit in our house.
